I was REJECTED for a position I applied for even though I was the only candidate in the market.
I was REJECTED for a position I applied for even though I was the only candidate in the market.
I later learned the person hired was my subordinate. I feel so bad and want to find a place to hide.
After this, I changed my industry to HR and Recruitment and within 1 year, I doubled my salary!!
I got a much better job and prospect. That's why many people asked me why I join Recruitment...
I told people "I like HR / Recruitment" because I can help people and applied my past experience.
Lessons learned:
1. You can be the only candidate in the market but still not get selected.
2. You can be the best/perfect candidate, but there are still other candidates.
3. If you didn't get the job, it was never meant for you.
4. If you accept the current status quo, you will never be what you are today!
5. You weren't rejected, you were redirected. There are more opportunities...
6. You can still earn more and develop your new skills, ability & potential...
Believe in yourself and keep trying, the right door will open for you!
